happy feet...basketball...random chats

today was another fun day for me. spent the whole day with kyle &
lianne at the festival mall, alabang. after shift i slept until 10am
and met them at the mall. the original plan was just to watch the movie
"happy feet" but then we missed the first screening because we still
had to eat lunch. we went to tom's world first to pass the time. then i
saw my favorite game, basketball. so i bought 4 tokens, two each for
kyle & me. but then we realized that we had to get something out of
the tickets that we got from winning. so we ended up buying a bunch of
tokens & i ended up getting all sweaty from shooting hoops hahaha.
i think i enjoyed my stay there better than kyle who was so nervous of
not getting anything from any game. he was finally coaxed by lianne to
try a sort of a ufo catcher that does not get toys but tickets hahaha
he was a sucker for tickets that he ended up using up most of his
tokens there. after watching the movies we went back to get more tokens
to win more tickets for kyle. we discovered that there were some games
that give you more tickets than the others & they were the easier
& less complex ones ...daya... but we discovered it much much later
when we only had a few tokens left.but at the end of it all we just
decided to keep the credits that we have and just go back some other
time to add more points to it so that kyle could get the white car that
he wants worth 3K points. so far we already have 330, gudluck na lang
di ba!?

it
was a nice day as well because lianne & i had a good chat with our
old schoolmates from Letran, one of which was the sister of a good
friend, who by the way celebrated his birthday yesterday, when i
thought it was today. sent him a txt msg to greet him a belated happy
birthday, but he did not respond, hmmmm perhaps he's just busy. it was nice to chat with them like that because we were never that close in high school, but since we've been schoolmates since grade school until college, we do have a special bond that gives us that comfy feeling to talk about stuff with each other.

i had
fun watching "happy feet" as well. i only saw the movie as a bonding thing
with kyle, but i think i ended up liking it more than he did (again, it's all about me). i really
liked the songs that were played, especially the upbeat & danceable
ones. i also appreciated the moral behind the story, which is something
that i should keep in mind. perseverance would always lead to success!
there may be a lot of hardships along the way, but as long as you
focus on your goals you'll end up getting what you want in the end. no
matter how long or hard it takes, just have faith. that's what my TL
recently told me when i lost my senses again just recently, her words
made sense then but seeing this movie made me realize it more. it's
so ironic that i had to learn it from a kiddie flick
so perhaps it's true that everything that you need to succeed was taught in kindergarden huh?

i
guess i found the answers to my woes today, the best things in life are
free! all you have to do is to find the heart to appreciate them. they are all yours as long as you acknowledge that these are things
that can make you happy...
