i thought that i wouldn't be able to go to 19 East because my sinusitis was acting up again. good thing that the ever reliable advil was able to set things straight for me. although i felt ripped off by paying the cab P150 when i could have gotten there via the jeep for only P10, which i found out just today, i still feel very happy. i was txting my joshuaholic pals on the way because i couldn't contain my excitement since it was also the first tim ethat i was going to meet them after almost 2 months of bonding online. gracie arrived first, followed by me, kay & joshua, jen & then martha. joshua reserved table 8 for us and sat with us to chat before the first set. in between sets jinky & the rest of the band would also pay us a visit just for random chats. it was really refreshing to discover how down-to-earth & friendly the members of freestyle are. if i was so starstruck to meet them before, now it has been replaced with mere admiration for these people.
as if my birthday with freestyle wasn't exciting enough, my joshuaholic pals & joshua even surprised me with a birthday cake and joshua dedicated the song half crazy to me. too bad it was not captured in gracie's video, but that's fine at least i'll have that happy thought in my memory forever, unless i'll have brain damage or alzheimer's hehehe. i must say that i am now a new jinky vidal fan, she's not just a good performer on stage but she's also a wonderful person when you get to talk to her. she's so funny & makulet, promise. i just love her! tat is a clown himself, super kulet & mabait din. actually all of them pati sila gerd & barney ang bait2! waaaaa i just can't stop ranting about how i love freestyle. no wonder God has blessed you guys all these years.
of course a lot of pictures were taken with josh, jinky & the rest of the band, and of course my joshuaholic friends. we danced and partied until 1:30 am and had a long chat at the 19 east garden wherein joshua took our pictures & a video with his phone and we made kulitan until 4am. that night was a blast & is the most unforgettable birthday that i've had so far. i don't think anything could beat that!
the next day my tranchemates also surprised me with a birthday cake, it was a choco margelaine cake that we were all craving for since it was launched by goldilocks. though we were disappointed that it didn't turn out to be as yummy as it looked like, i am still very grateful to them for remembering that i wanted that cake so much. add to the fact that gladys bought me the denman brush that was too expensive for me to buy for myself but have wanted sooo badly since moonlight made me try hers.
all in all my 31st birthday, este 26th birthday was the best. thank God for my family & ever thoughtful friends near & far who never forgot to greet me. my life is complete (kahit walang papa) because of all of you. i luv yah all!
to me it's no biggie because i'm not the type of person who makes a big deal about my birthday. it's not that i am not thankful for another year of living or for all the blessings that i got from the previous year, it's just that for me it's just a date. one does not have to pick a special date to be happy because you can be happy everyday if you choose to.
